Andina's purpose
Andina was founded to support the people behind the performance, making the physical demands of sport a little more comfortable.
THE IDEA
Rethinking Performance Wear
Andina was built from a different perspective on performance wear. We believe clothing should do more than simply look good or fit well — it should have a reason behind it. Every fabric, seam and silhouette is an opportunity to think differently about how clothing can work with the wearer, combining science, technology and design in a way that feels purposeful and practical.
The idea began through first-hand experience. After years of navigating ongoing physical issues, we became frustrated by how often the answer seemed to be another appointment, another treatment or another solution to try. We started to question what could be done in between those moments of hands-on support. Could the clothing we already wear become part of that everyday support? That question became the starting point for Andina, and led us to explore how technical fabrics, anatomical design and purposeful construction could be integrated into performance wear.
Andina is still only at the beginning. Our aim is to keep learning, researching and exploring new materials, technologies and ways of approaching clothing that could benefit the wearer. From the yard to the competition arena, we want to create performance wear that becomes part of everyday life — helping people feel supported and comfortable as they continue doing the sport they love. For us, it is not about promising a quick fix; it is about finding better ways to support the journey.
THE PROBLEM
Performance Wear
At Andina we believe people who ask a lot of their bodies deserve clothing that can support them. We aim to complement performance with recovery, creating clothing designed to support you through both.
OUR MISSION
Purpose Behind Every Garment
Our aim with this clothing is to help support individuals that feel they could benefit from a boost to their everyday performance and comfort. Those fed up with aches and pains, relying on medication and appointments to keep yourself functioning.
FOUNDERS’ VISION
Innovation and Conscious Activewear
The founders are building Andina around a shared commitment to purposeful innovation and conscious active wear, creating garments that recognise the realities of the people wearing them.

I've always believed that the things we love shouldn't be defined by the limitations of our bodies. Sometimes it's the smallest aches, restrictions or setbacks that have the biggest impact on how we move, train, and enjoy the things that matter to us.
Horses have been a constant throughout my life, and riding has always been about far more than the end result. It's the connection, trust and understanding between horse and rider, and the continual process of learning and developing together. That's what has kept me so passionate about the sport.
My other passion has always been creation. I studied Fashion Design and Technology at London College of Fashion, where I developed an understanding of the complete design process. From research and development, through to pattern cutting and garment construction. It taught me to look closely at how a garment interacts with the body, and how every detail can have a purpose.
Living with ongoing back problems has given me a very personal understanding of how physical limitations can interrupt our journey. It was through this experience, alongside my background in fashion, that the idea for Andina began to take shape.
I wanted to explore how thoughtful design, technical fabrics and considered construction could create clothing that genuinely supports the rider, without compromising on functionality or aesthetics.
For me, Andina is about more than just creating clothing. It's about understanding the person wearing it - designing with purpose, listening to the body, and finding ways to help people continue doing what they love.
I'm still learning, still designing, and still searching for better ways to do it. That's what makes Andina so personal to me. It's a process we would love for you to be a part of.

Despite attending university to study for my BSc in Physical Geography and MSc in Sustainability I think I always knew I would ultimately end up remaining involved with horses in some way. I have been working full-time with horses in a number of roles since I graduated in 2016, having worked part-time throughout school and university. These teenage years were when I first experienced pain issues, numerous doctors appointments, tests and on-going physiotherapy support never felt conclusive to me. Sitting behind a desk at university brought a whole host of new challenges for me physically and I really hit my lowest point during these years. This was part of the reason I opted for a non-desk based career, at least to start with, once I left university. However, I soon discovered the fitness and strength I gained whilst working full-time in the equestrian industry did me the world of good. As I get older and have learned to advocate for myself more and have had the support of an understanding physiotherapist I have realised there is a balance to be had, between understanding what my body needs and what I want it to do.
I first experienced issues in my early teens; docs were not particularly helpful (understatement…). I found a physio who was supportive, but the mental damage was already done. I withdrew from finding medical support and found my own coping mechanisms…with varied levels of suitability and success! As an anxious, in-pain teenager, the things I heard from medical professionals significantly affected me in ways far bigger than I even realised, and I am still dealing with the ramifications of this to this day, but I am slowly learning to talk about it and ask for help, but it's a process! With the support of some very understanding friends, both bendy and not bendy, that I’ve met along the way, as well as my endlessly understanding physio and a few rare gems I’ve come across in the NHS I am learning to advocate for myself and ask for and accept help, but it is a journey with no destination. So for all you out there that can resonate with this, I see you!
